"After weeks of searching for a place to retire and not finding "the place", we drove up the hill to Fairway Estates in Sutherlin. The clean open feeling, a spectacular view of the mountains to the west, a lush green golf course and our relaxed feeling surprised us. We took a deep breath and said, "This is it!" It was later when we realized that major shopping and health care facilities were easily accessible. We look forward to meeting other retirees at Fairway Estates while still being able to maintain life-long friendships in the Eugene area, as they will be only minutes away.""
